Such a sad day for Devils fans. Doc and Chico were a great tandem and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them since I was a kid and got into watching hockey. They were great he will be missed even more now that we won’t hear him on NBC as well.

What a great career! I had the privilege of witnessing greatness since I started watching hockey around 1993. Truly blessed to hear him call Devils games, very spoiled. He deserves his own banner or a place with Dr. McMullen in the Ring of Honor.

I have a question, Todd! How did you come to be a Devils fan? Thanks!

Senior year of highschool me and two buddies bought tickets to that game 45 minutes before, and made it just in time for puck drop. That win cemented my love of the Devs even though the Final didn't go their way. Insane to witness in person, but hearing Doc's call after the fact, he captured the energy at the Rock perfectly. Right up there with Jim Nantz for me as the best broadcasters in sports.
