I don’t think Zajac will waive his clause, but I wouldn’t hold it against him if, like Andy Greene last year, he looks to go to a contending team. What team do you think would be the best situation for him? Same with Palmieri?
I don’t see Zajac waiving the clause. Last year Fitz was asked point blank if Zajac would be moved and he said absolutely not. Basically made Zajac sound like an untouchable and I don’t think that is coming from the devils organization. I believe they had a convo with Travis last year already and he has made it clear he isn’t waiving. That is my opinion.
you could be right but, as someone mentioned, last year Zajac still had a season left so leaving would mean he's gone for 1.5 seasons. Now, he could be moved in April and, potentially, be done playing in May; then come back as a free agent anyway.
I just think it's worth looking into. If he says no, that's 100% his right.
I really liked Talvitie before that injury. He was the heart and soul of that Finnish WJC team. Hope he can climb his way back.
