Hey Todd, I’m no longer on Twitter so I don’t get the insight on day to day transaction or updates by all the “insiders”. Can you please have a section or list in your game previews and/or game summaries for player updates that are out of the lineup, like Palms, what’s his story, etc. would be much appreciated. So out of the loop now. Thanks. Best wishes. Appreciate all your work. Hope this young team keeps surprising, would be great to have a full healthy lineup for an accurate read overall in competition to all in the division.
Sure, I'll try and include a notable absentees list in future previews! The issue with yesterday was Palmieri news (COVID protocol) only broke legit two minutes before 1pm game time.
It has to be confidence issues with Goose. Just does not look himself at all. One goes in and the flood gates will open for him. I really don’t think he put the work in this off season. Contract year for him.
Todd, I ask you to please shed some light on this Fitzgerald aand Penguins situation. I understand that this is nothing but a rumor and presented by some less than reliable sources. However, if true, this is a major concern moving forward. Fitzy is still on a 1 year contract! To think the man would give up a GM job where he has already made significant progress in implementing his vision for this team, for now and into the future, is utterly shocking. Should these rumors be given any weight at all?
The coaching staff is clearly ice cold on Butcher, and I can't imagine Vatanen joining up with the team after the road trip is going to make it easier for him to get into the lineup. Wondering if there may be a trade out there somewhere. Would Butcher, a 2nd rounder and a prospect be enough to get Vince Dunn?
it's hard to say because part of the reason St. Louis doesn't 'like' Butcher is because of his net-front defense and lack of assertiveness. Butcher has those same concerns so I'm not sure he'd be of interest. From strictly a value perspective, yes, I'd say that is enough.
