A few notes to get you set for New Jersey vs. Washington:
Turn the tables against the Caps
It’s no secret that the Devils have struggled a ton vs. the Capitals for the better part of the last half-decade. Per Statmuse, the Capitals have won 11 of the last 15 head-to-head showdowns. New Jersey has continued that trend this season. In the first two matchups against their Metropolitan division foe, it’s been frustrating to say the least. The Devils have been outscored 10-6 and did not earn a single point in either game.
Simply put, New Jersey has been outplayed and outworked by the veteran-led Capitals. The good news is that the final two matchups will be in Washington. The Devils have been much better on the road so this is a good time as any to get a key win vs. the fatigued Capitals and move back into a playoff position. Just find a way to get a win.
